Construction Update: Night Work Friday continuing into Saturday to complete paving

Final paving of Stony Point Road will proceed tonight (Friday) and continue into Saturday morning (5/12). If necessary, completion of the paving is scheduled during the day on Monday (5/14). Take alternate routes to avoid Stony Point Road when possible. Work will begin at 8 pm along the entire stretch from Sebastopol Road to Bellevue Ranch. One lane of traffic in each direction will remain open at all times, but side streets will be temporarily closed when paving operations are actively underway in the intersection.

Follow directions from flaggers. Turning movements may be restricted to minimize traffic on hot asphalt. No overnight curb parking will be allowed. Other construction activities will include continuation of landscaping during the day time. Expect delays and use alternate routes (Highway 12 and Highway 101 are strongly advised).

This critical work is being done at night to expedite the paving process and to limit traffic impacts during school drop-off/pick-up and commute hours. The Ironman event will also have road detours and closures on Saturday. For those see: https://srcity.org/2354/Detours-Road-Closures
