Construction Update: Week of Feb. 26, 2018

Paving & Lane Shifts

Depending on weather conditions, work will continue on road excavation, leveling, grinding and paving of Stony Point from Gardner to Sebastopol throughout the week (and possibly this Saturday, Feb 24).  Expect daily lane shifts on Stony Point. One lane will remain open in each direction during construction. If conditions allow, paving activities may extend to the south end of the project area on Friday. Construction hours are 7 AM to 7 PM.

Temporary Road Closures — Please use alternate routes.

During this upcoming week, access to Gardner Avenue from Stony Point Road may be periodically closed. Mesa Way may be periodically closed also when Gardner is open.

Temporary Bus Stop Closure on Stony Point Road

The Bus Stop for Routes 2 & 15, southbound on Stony Point in front of Rite Aid, will be closed. The temporary closure will allow construction crews to install new curb, gutter and sidewalk; install bus stop upgrades; and pave streets. Signs will direct bus riders to alternate stops.

All residents will have access to their driveways, except for the time that work is underway directly in front of the driveway. If a crew is working at your location and you need to use your driveway (in or out), let them know and allow time for them to accommodate you. During closure hours, residents on the West side of Stony Point must drive south to Lazzini Ave. when exiting or entering their driveways. Flaggers at Lazzini Ave. will assist residents during construction. Please follow traffic control signage and construction flaggers.

Expect delays and use alternate routes (Hwy 12 and Hwy 101 are strongly advised). Work activity is weather permitting.
