Stony Point Road Project Update for week of January 22nd

posted in: Construction Updates | 0

PG&E has been installing a new vault and doing upgrades to their system along Stony Point Road. This activity is unrelated to the road improvement project.

Paving operations and related construction activities continue to be on hold due to unfavorable forecasted weather conditions.

Once conditions improve, the project will need to reconstruct Stony Point Road on top of a vital water main (approximately 900 feet between Gardner Ave and Sebastopol Road). To maintain the structural integrity of this important infrastructure and to maintain proper drainage, some redesign of the road way elevations has been required in this corridor.

The actual construction will call for reinstallation of curb and gutter on the west side of the road. This effort will get underway once weather conditions improve and allow enough time to mobilize appropriate crews and complete work elements prior to significant rain.
